Booking questions, attendees and locations

Ask clients your own questions when they book, let someone book for another person, and set where each service happens.

These settings are on each service. Go to Services and select New service, or edit an existing service.

Ask your own questions

Open Customer questions and select Add question. For each question, set:

  • Question: for example "Gate or buzzer code", up to 100 characters
  • Answer type: Short text, Paragraph, Yes / no or Number
  • Hint (optional): extra guidance shown under the question
  • Required: turn it on if clients must answer

You can add up to 10 questions per service and change their order. Clients answer them when they enter their details. The answers appear on the booking and in your new-booking email.

Let clients book for someone else

Open Booking rules and turn on Allow booking on behalf of someone else. That's useful when parents book for their children, or one person books for a partner.

When booking, the client turns on This booking is for someone else and enters the attendee's name, email and, optionally, phone number. The attendee gets the appointment reminders, and you see them on the booking marked "Attending, not the payer". The person who booked still pays.

Set where the service happens

Open Location & travel and choose how the service is delivered:

Option What it means
Online video call A Google Meet link is created for each booking. Needs Google Calendar connected.
In person — clients come to me Clients come to your business address. To use a different place for this service, enter it under Where does it happen?
In person — I travel to the client Clients enter their address when they book, and you see it on the booking.

Travel time

Set Travel time to block time either side of each booking, from 5 minutes to 2 hours. Clients never see it. Back-to-back bookings share one trip, and your first and last slots of the day stay bookable.
