Scheduling

Set your hours and days off

Set the weekly hours clients can book, leave gaps for breaks, and change or close specific dates without touching your usual week.

Your availability is when clients can book you. Your booking page offers times inside your weekly hours, then takes out anything already booked, travel time, and busy times in your Google Calendar.

Set your weekly hours

  1. In the sidebar, open Availability.
  2. Turn on each day you work with the switch beside it. A day starts as 09:00 to 17:00.
  3. Change the start and end times. Times go in 30-minute steps.
  4. To take a break, select Add window to add another time range to that day, and leave a gap between the two. For example, 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00 keeps lunch free. A day can have up to 10 time ranges.
  5. Select Save.

Days you've changed are marked Unsaved until you save. To stop working a day, switch it off.

Appointments start on the hour or half hour within your hours. Your hours are in your business's timezone, which you set in Settings › Business Profile.

Clients always see your times in your timezone, not their own. Your booking page says which timezone that is, above the times. If a client's device is set to a different timezone, they also see the difference, for example: "You're on Eastern Time, 3 hours ahead. A 12:00 PM slot is 3:00 PM for you." The reschedule page shows the same note, and the confirm step names the timezone next to the time.

Change or close specific dates

For a holiday, a vacation or a month of summer hours, add a date override instead of changing your weekly hours.

  1. Under Date overrides, select Add override.
  2. Choose a Start date and End date. For a single day, use the same date for both.
  3. Under What happens on these dates, choose one:
    • Closed all day: no bookings on these dates
    • Different hours: the hours you enter replace your weekly hours on these dates
    • Block off part of the day: your weekly hours still apply, minus the times you enter
  4. Add a Label if you like, such as "Vacation".
  5. Select Create override.

An override saves as soon as you create it. Use the pencil icon to edit it, or the bin icon to remove it, and those dates go back to your weekly hours. Two overrides can't cover the same date.

An override never cancels bookings you already have. If some of them now fall outside your hours, you're told how many, and the override shows a badge such as 2 bookings affected. Select it to go to Bookings, where you can cancel them or propose a new time.

Good to know

  • There's no minimum notice: clients can book any open time later the same day.
  • Busy times in your Google Calendar still block bookings on dates with an override.
