Your business

Brand your booking page

Match your booking page and client emails to your brand with your logo, a ready-made theme, your own colours and the roundness of its corners. On the Pro plan.

Branding changes the logo, colours and corners of your booking page to match your business, and the emails your clients receive. It's part of the Pro plan. On Starter, Settings › Branding offers an upgrade instead; see pricing.

  1. Go to Settings › Branding. The Logo card sits above Theme.
  2. Select Upload logo and choose an image. It must be a PNG, JPEG or WebP file up to 5 MB, and at least 256 × 256 pixels.
  3. Drag the image and use the Zoom slider to choose the square you want. Your logo is always shown as a square with rounded corners.
  4. Select Save logo.

To swap it, select Replace. To take it off, select Remove. The preview above shows your logo straight away. Nothing else needs saving.

Choose your look

  1. Go to Settings › Branding.
  2. Under Presets, pick a starting point, such as Ocean Breeze or Graphite. butterbook.ing default is the standard look.
  3. Under Custom colors, change any of these: Primary, Primary text, Page background, Text, Card background and Accent.
  4. Under Corner roundness, choose Square, Subtle, Rounded or Round, or choose Custom to enter your own.
  5. Check the preview. You can switch it between light and dark.
  6. Select Save.

Nothing changes on your booking page until you save. To go back to the standard look, select Reset to default, then Save.

If two colours would be hard to read together in an email, such as white Primary text on a pale Primary, or light Text on a white Card background, a note under the colours names them. You can still save. Emails use the standard butterbook.ing colours for those two and keep the rest of yours.

Presets come with their own colours for clients who use dark mode. Once you change a colour yourself, your colours are used in both light and dark mode.

Where your branding shows

Your branding is used on your booking page, on the pages clients use to check, reschedule or pay for a booking, and in the booking widget on your own website. Invoices keep the standard butterbook.ing look.

When you share your booking link, your logo and business name show in the link preview in apps like iMessage, WhatsApp and social media.

Emails to your clients

Emails your clients receive, such as booking confirmations, reminders, changes and refunds, show your logo and business name at the top and use your colours. They always use the light version of your colours. The Preview buttons on Settings › Notifications show them this way.

  • They are sent from your business name, as "Your Business via butterbook.ing", from a butterbook.ing address.
  • Replies aren't read. Each email says so and asks your client to contact you directly. It still carries the note that it was sent from butterbook.ing.
  • Emails sent to you, and billing and account emails, keep the standard look.

If you move from Pro to Starter, your booking page and client emails go back to the standard look. Your logo and theme are kept, so they come back if you upgrade again.
